Perfection What a little gem!! Tucked away in the North Yorkshire countryside, this amazing pub and b & b completely blew us away, beautifully decked out from the second you step through the door, our suite was enormous, comfortable, clean, shabby chic style with everything we wanted and more. Staff incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble, not even when we came in after our night out with a takeaway pizza, they were offering us plates and glasses to eat from!! The menu is phenominal and worth a look in, cute breakfast hampers with cereals and other bits in for your room, bathrooms large and clean, even the pub toilets are worth a look in!! Do not miss out on a stay at this place

We have eaten at the Black Horse on numerous occasions and cannot fault it, In fact we have even booked our wedding reception here plus all the rooms which on viewing are stunning!!

My husband and I had a wonderful Valentine Evening at The Black Horse. The atmosphere was relaxed and ideal for a romantic night. The food was lovely and the bubbly excellent. Thank you for a great night. We will visit again soon.

Just finished our 'fish and chips' as supplied by The Black Horse 'take away service'! Wow - absolutely yummy and enjoyed by all the family (including cats!) Would highly recommend this very reasonably priced Friday night treat. Thank you Black Horse!

If the rooms are available take advantage of the Dinner, B&B offer, it's excellent value for money. Out of our party of nine, seven of us stayed over, with four of us booking again before we left. Having eaten here before we knew what to expect with the food and we were not to be disappointed, everything cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly, efficient and make you feel most welcome. Thanks to all for making our stay and, most importantly, my wife's birthday such a special one. See you in December.

A hidden gem! We were very satisfied with our accomodation and our meal at The Black Horse Inn. We 'stumbled' across your place on the internet, looking for a place to break up our journey. Looking for a quiet but comfortable place to stay. All staff were very pleasant and courteous. The breakfast basket was a very good idea. I'd like to think that one day we will visit again, however we have no hesitation in recommending your establishment to all the many people we know - thanks again.

A big "Thank you" to all the staff at The Black Horse! We had a great short break, enjoying Dinner each night - we were spoilt for choice with a great menu using quality ingredients. The room was beautifully decorated and very relaxing - we felt like we were in France. We will be back. Thanks once again.

We had a lovely dinner on Valentine's night and treated ourselves to staying in one of the fabulous rooms. Very comfortable, very relaxing and even good value. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back.

We have just enjoyed the most delicious Sunday lunch - Beef cooked to perfection and Roast potatoes to die for!! Our deserts were beautifully presented and tasted sublime. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in perfect surroundings.........We'll definitely return!! Thank you.

I've been coming to the Black Horse for the last 8 years since meeting my wife, she has relatives in the village. I've seen landlords come & go. I'm so pleased to see such a lovely change to the pub, I even had a meal the other day, of which, was superb. I hope this landlord is here to stay.

Thank you for making our stay with you so wonderful. The room we had was beautiful, the furnishings are amazing - truly stunning. All the team were great and the food in the restaurant, for the money, was the best we have ever eaten in a Yorkshire country pub.
