Our garden boasts not one but two unusual claims to fame. Firstly, there’s our pool table, which is currently nestled under a marquee so may well be one of the only places to play alfresco in the north of England. And secondly, if pool’s not your thing, how about quoits? We’re proud to say we’ve one of the few pitches around recognised by players as good enough to host official games of this ring-tossing tradition.

Not that you have to play games if you don’t want to. Our two gardens – to the front and side with views of the village, and the more private garden towards the rear – are both beautiful settings in their own right, with plenty of seating so you can enjoy a drink or a nibble outside.
