Avillage pub is an important institution and we wanted to do it justice. So we’ve gone to great lengths to highlight this historic building’s charms with an extensive and sympathetic refurbishment. Using carefully chosen colours and lots of natural materials, we’ve brought new life to The Black Horse, adding a touch of contemporary sophistication but retaining lots of little quirks to give it personality along the way. (Look out for the sinks in our loos!)

We’re very pleased with the results and we hope you are too.

The natural stone floor, traditional dartboard and wooden beams all combine to give the bar plenty of character but, of course, like every good pub, it’s the beer, food and company where the real attraction lies. Thankfully our top-notch bar food and range of well-priced drinks, including hand-pulled beers and specially selected wines doesn’t disappoint - and neither does the friendly atmosphere. With plenty of seating and a snug if you’d like something cosier, it’s a great place to call in for a quick drink, or even to pull up a pew and enjoy a meal.
